Powder Coating Services

Powder coating is an advanced method of applying a decorative paint finish to a wide range of metallic products. Using an electrostatic process the powdered paint is sprayed onto the surface to be coated and then placed in a curing oven where the product is heated to 200C causing the powder to fuse into a smooth coating. Once cooled, this creates a high-quality, durable and uniform finish which is resistant to scratches, cracking, peeling and UV rays. Because no solvents are used, the unused powder can be recycled through a vacuum extraction system minimising wastage and making powder coating the most environmentally friendly paint system available.

Yates Powder Coating has the capability to work with both large single item jobs and large numbers of small items with the same fast turn around. The new facility also has the ability to manage a much larger volume of work than most small operators.

With the new conveyorised tunnel ovens and larger up to date powder coating equipment we can offer a faster turn around with a new level of consistent quality control.
We have the ability to coat aluminium, steel, hot dipped steel, duragal type steel, extrusions, shop fittings, security grilles, balustrades, pool fencing, wrought iron gates, car parts, POS items, furniture, fabricated materials and structural steel.

All products are coated with a consistant 60 - 80 micron covering of powder as per industry standards.
Our batch oven can coat items up to 8m long, 2.8m high and 2.35m wide and the new conveyorised tunnel oven can coat items up to 6.7m long, 1.85 high and 0.6m wide.
