Pre-treatment Services

To ensure that your finished products perform the way that was intended Yates Powder Coating complies with industry standards in preparation and offers a complete range of pre-treatment options including:

• Abrasive blasting
• Epoxy zinc rich primers
• Chromate pre-treatment

The facility has a five stage chemical pre-treatment plant and drying oven capable of treating items up to 6.7m long, 1.85 high, 0.6 wide and up to 150kg in weight.

We have the ability to do abrasive blasting on items up to 8m long, 2.5m high and 2.5m wide.
The abrasive blasting facility is used to quickly remove all residual paint, surface rust, millscale, oils, dirt or other contaminate from the metal before powder coating. The chemical pre-treatments are used to further protect the product and improve the surface for powder coating.
